We’ve been auditing our collection of books in Spanish, from bilingual books to books about Latin-American cultures. Below is a list of all the library has to offer (and how to find your way around the library).
Access this list from your mobile device when you visit, or grab a printed copy at the front desk.
Also, we’ll be creating a survey on more ways we can serve our Spanish-speaking (and Spanish-learning) community. Pease keep an eye out for it and help us help you!
We’re meeting Fridays at 10AM in the amphitheater behind the library (dress for the weather!). Come through the library or walk around the building.
Activities are planned for 2-6 year-olds, but everyone is welcome and accommodations can be made for kiddos with special needs or sensitivities.
Check out the schedule on our events calendar for updates and changes.
If there’s enough interest, bilingual and/or evening story times might be possible. Please stay tuned for a survey on how we might best expand our offerings.
Please stay tuned: we’re currently looking to continue story time Fridays (10AM-11AM, ages 2 to 6) and we’ll post all about it as soon as we finish the schedule!
HCPL has been thrilled to host another summer of reading challenges for all ages with fun swag for each step along the way.
All summer, you’ve been trying out science experiments, making art, volunteering, donating time and energy and goods, and stopping by for a range of activities here at the library. (Oh, and you’ve been reading thousands of hours, too!)
As July comes to a close, don’t forget to bring us your activity packets and log your amazing work online (here) so we can hand out all sorts of goodies. You can continuing logging you summer reading time and your completed activities until Saturday, August 14th.
It’s time to Drop Your Drawers at the library. We will be taking donations of new in the package underwear for boys and girls sizes 4-16. The underwear will be donated to our local family resource centers to support their mission of serving the families and students of Henry County.
Our goal this year to provide each elementary school in the county with 250 pairs for a total donation of 1000 pair of underwear county wide.
